Script writing Example for DIVISION OF THE ASSEMBLY Legend/Note: The statements inside the bracket [Statement] are instruction/guidance/hint/information for the Chair only and should not be read/announced to the audience. A: Division (a) Respond to call for Division: Chair: A division is called for. (b) Put the question on the motion on which the division was called for: The question is on the adoption of the motion "That a golden statue of General Henry M. Robert be erected at the headquarters of the National Association of Parliamentarians." Those in favor of the motion will rise. [Pause] Be seated. Those opposed will rise. [Pause] Be seated. (c) Motion adopted: Announce results The affirmative has it and the motion is adopted. A golden statute of General Henry M. Robert will be erected at the headquarters of the National Association of Parliamentarians. (d) Announce the business that follows Is there any further New Business? OR: The negative has it and the motion is lost. (d) Announce the business that follows Is there any further new business? |
