Script writing Example for  MAIN MOTION WITH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AMENDMENT

Ms. Martinez.

I move "That the club purchase copies of Parliamentary Law, Parliamentary Practice, Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised and Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief for the library." [Sits]

Second!

(a) State the question on the main motion:

It is moved and seconded "That the club purchase copies of Parliamentary Law, Parliamentary Practice, Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised and Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief for the library." Are you ready for the question?

(b) Debate on the main motion

Mr. President!

Mr. Rashid.

I move to amend by striking out "Parliamentary Law, Parliamentary Practice,". [Sits]

Second!

It is moved and seconded to amend by striking out "Parliamentary Law, Parliamentary Practice,".

If the amendment is adopted, the main motion will read, "That the club purchase copies of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised and Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief for the library."

The question is on striking out "Parliamentary Law, Parliamentary Practice,".
